Remove White Background from Images

White background removal is the most common use case — scanned documents, product photos on white, logos exported on white, or screenshots. Select white as the background colour, adjust the tolerance slider to catch all shades of white in the background, and click Remove Background.

Tolerance Explained

The tolerance slider controls how similar a pixel’s colour must be to the selected background colour in order to be removed. Low tolerance (5-15) removes only pixels very close to the exact colour — good for clean white backgrounds. Higher tolerance (30-60) removes a wider range of similar shades — useful for off-white or slightly uneven backgrounds.

Green Screen / Chroma Key Removal

This tool also works as a simple chroma key tool. Select green (#00ff00) or blue (#0000ff) as the background colour and increase tolerance to remove green or blue screen backgrounds from video thumbnails and photos.
