Images to GIF

Turn a sequence of photos, product shots, screenshots or drawings into a looping animation. Frames play in the order shown, and you can drag the thumbnails to rearrange them. Set how long each frame stays on screen (for example 100 ms for smooth motion or 1–2 seconds for a slideshow), and choose whether images of different shapes should fit inside the frame or fill it.

Video to GIF

Convert a short clip from your phone or screen recorder into a GIF for chats, social media, documentation or bug reports. Play the video, set the start and end points (up to 20 seconds) and choose the frame rate. Ten frames per second is a good balance between smoothness and file size.

Keep your GIFs small

  • Use a smaller width. A 480 px GIF is a quarter the size of a 960 px one.
  • Lower the frame rate or shorten the clip.
  • Reduce colours to 64 or 128 for flat graphics and screen recordings.
  • Boomerang mode doubles the length, so use it on short clips.

Private and watermark-free

Frames are captured and encoded entirely in your browser, so your videos and photos never leave your device. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many GIFs you make.

Frequently asked questions

Which video formats can I convert to GIF?
Any format your browser can play, which usually means MP4 (H.264), WEBM and MOV from iPhone in Safari. If a video does not load, convert it to MP4 first.
How long can my GIF be?
Video clips can be up to 20 seconds. For images there is no fixed limit, but very long or large GIFs produce big files.
Is there a watermark?
No. The GIFs you create are completely clean and free to use.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser and your files never leave your device.
